VIEW DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY
  • The Foundation Group runs every Saturday morning from 10:00–11:00.

The location changes with the seasons:

    • Winter: Indoors at Moorside High School Sports Hall

    • March to November: Outdoors on the Moorside Rangers Astro

There’s no need to pre-register. Just turn up. On your child’s first visit, the coach will take a few basic details and add you to the relevant WhatsApp group for updates and communication.

  • The Foundation Group costs £3 per session.

    There’s:

    • No upfront fees

    • No monthly subscription

You pay per session, so if your child misses a week, you don’t pay.

The small weekly fee goes directly back into:

    • facility hire

    • equipment

    • and keeping sessions properly coached and organised

  • Your child needs:

    • Comfortable sports clothing

    • Football boots if you have them. Trainers are fine for indoor sessions

    • Shin pads. These are important, not optional

    • A drink. Water is perfect

  • No, not for the Foundation Group.
At that age, we don’t run trials, selections, or assessments. Children can turn up, take part, and enjoy football.

For junior teams and open-age teams, it’s different. Where appropriate, players may be invited to attend one or two sessions before joining to check:

    • that the team is the right level for the player

    • that the player is comfortable and safe in that environment

    • that the squad has space and the right balance

This works both ways. It gives the player a chance to see if the team is right for them, not just the other way around.

We believe in placing players in environments where they can develop properly. Sometimes that means a short observation period.
