FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
The monthly subs for junior teams are:
£25 per month for your first child
£10 per month for a second child
£5 per month per child if you have more than two children playing at the club
Subs contribute towards:
pitch and facility hire
equipment
league and affiliation costs
keeping sessions properly organised and coached
There are no hidden extras and no surprise increases mid-season. If there are additional costs for things like optional kit, tournaments, or special events, these are communicated clearly in advance.
-
Junior teams train once per week.
Sessions are scheduled on a consistent day and time for each team to give players routine and to make life manageable for families.
Matches are played at the weekend, so training is about:
developing skills
improving understanding of the game
building confidence and teamwork
-
If an age group is full, we’re upfront about it. We don’t overfill squads just to squeeze in extra players, because that leads to:
reduced game time
overcrowded training
a worse experience for everyone
If there’s no space, the usual options are:
being placed on a waiting list
being contacted if a space becomes available
in some cases, being signposted to another local club if we genuinely can’t accommodate you
Occasionally, if numbers and coaching capacity allow, we may look at creating additional teams, but that depends on having the right coaches, facilities, and support in place.
-
In most cases, children play within their correct age group, in line with league rules and safeguarding guidance.
Playing up an age group is considered only in specific circumstances, and decisions are made by the coaching team.
When this is considered, we look at:
the child’s physical development and safety
their confidence and emotional readiness
the standard and pace of the group
league regulations and registration rules
This is always about what’s best for the child, not about filling gaps.
Any movement between age groups is reviewed carefully and communicated clearly with parents. It’s never a permanent decision, and it can be revisited as children grow and develop.
