FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • No. You don’t need prior experience to volunteer.

Most volunteer roles can be learned on the job, and the club will:

    • explain what’s needed

    • provide guidance and support

    • help you find a role that fits your time and skills

What matters more than experience is:

    • reliability

    • a positive attitude

    • willingness to help

  • As much or as little as you’re able to.

Volunteering isn’t an all-or-nothing commitment. Some people help:

    • every week

    • occasionally

    • at specific events or matchdays

    • behind the scenes when time allows

    All of it helps.

We’ll work with you to find a role that fits:

    • your availability

    • your interests

    • your comfort level

There’s no pressure to overcommit, and no expectation that volunteering takes over your life. Even small, regular contributions make a real difference to how the club runs.

  • It depends on the role you volunteer for.

Some roles need specific training or guidance, and where that’s required, the club will make sure you’re supported and shown what to do. Other roles are more practical and can be picked up quickly with a bit of explanation.

    Training and support are always:

    • proportionate to the role

    • focused on keeping people confident and safe

    • practical, not overcomplicated

You won’t be asked to do something you’re not prepared for.
