Who are Moorside Rangers?

Moorside Rangers are one of only a hand full of clubs that have receive the 3* accreditation from Manchester FA as a result of offering football to all.

Youth teams

Moorside Rangers has in excess of 400 players currently registered with the club, playing across 30+ teams, from the foundation group introducing kids to the joys of football from the age of 4, through to u7 when they can play structured matches within leagues across the North West, all the way through to U18 when they finish their Youth football experience, we are proud of the relationships that we build and the skills that we provide our players with, that will serve them well in adult life, whether that be within the world of football or beyond.

Girls specific teams

The female game is going from strength to strength, most recently with the Lionesses that have inspired a generation of girls to take up football.  Moorside Rangers is embracing this momentum and whilst all our teams are mixed, and we have multiple teams containing both boys and girls, we are proud to offer girls specific football as well.  As well as our mixed gender foundation group for 4-6 year olds, we offer a girls specific Wildcats foundation group for girls aged 7 to 9 for those joining the game a little later, and girls specific teams at U12 and U14 with the ambition to expand these to a full range of ages as players express an interest.

Disability Football

Moorside Rangers is proud to be one of only a handful of grassroots clubs to offer disability football, truly delivering football for all, which is something that we strive for as a culture.  Partnering with DS Active, we offer Downs Syndrome specific football sessions for all ages and have players from 4 years old to our oldest participant who is in his 40’s.  These Down Syndrome sessions offer a welcome alternative to the pan disability sessions offered through local Premier League community teams and are as invaluable for the parents as the participants creating a fun, safe environment to build relationships with other players and families in the local area.

First Team

Moorside Rangers have one of the best first teams in Grassroots football, currently playing in the Manchester Football League Limited Premier Division, the first team are 1 promotion away from the North West Counties League and semi professional football.  We believe that this first team, and their success on and off the field allows us to offer a unique pathway for our players from when they join at 4 all the way through to adult football and the ongoing relationships, team work health and fitness benefits that football provides.

Where are Moorside Rangers?

Moorside Rangers is primarily based in Swinton, although due to the size of the club we are spread across multiple venues.  We have teams competing in several leagues across the North West so any sponsor would have exposure in a significant area.

Beechfarm Playing Fields

The bulk of our youth teams are based at Beechfarm, we have a club house, our own private all weather 5 a side pitch, and we lease grass pitches from Salford Council.  On site we’ve got 2 grass 5 a side pitches, 2 9 a side and 2 11 a side pitches, on matchdays this is a hive of activity where the brand of any sponsor would be visible to a significant number of people from within the club and beyond.

Moorside High School

We have teams training at Moorside High School on their all weather pitches, meaning we can train all year round.  On matchdays we utilise Moorside High School’s 2 7 a side pitches as well as an 11 a side pitch to ensure that all of our teams are able to play.

Walkden Co-op Academy & St Ambrose High School

Both of these schools are used by our teams for year round training.  No matches are played at these locations.

Agecroft

Our agecroft site is the home of our first team, with a 2nd club house and an 11 a side pitch, we are undertaking significant development on this site as we progress through the football pyramid.  The quality of our first team attracts neutral spectators as well as those from both sets of teams.

Football Leagues

As mentioned our teams play across multiple leagues, Salford & District, Bolton & Bury, Timperley and The Manchester League all these leagues operate a home and away fixture schedule so for home games our teams will play at one of the above sites.  When our teams are away then they will be at the home ground of the opposition, vastly increasing the exposure potential for sponsors
