GIRLS FOOTBALL

Girls’ football at Moorside Rangers is expanding.

We currently offer teams from U11 to U16, with more age groups planned as demand grows.

Our aim is simple: create welcoming, competitive and supportive environments where girls can develop, make friends and enjoy the game.

ENQUIRE ABOUT AVAILABILITY

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • If your child is younger than the girls’ teams we currently run, it usually means we don’t yet have a team at that age group.

We are actively looking to expand girls’ football from U7 through to U11, but new teams can only be created when we have:

    • enough interested players

    • a suitable coach in place

    • appropriate training and match facilities

    If your child is interested:

    • get in touch with the club

    • register your interest

    • encourage others you know to do the same

That helps us understand demand and plan sensibly. As soon as numbers and coaching capacity allow, we’ll look to form new teams and contact families who’ve expressed interest.

We’re committed to growing the girls’ game, but we’ll always do it in a way that’s safe, sustainable, and enjoyable for the players.

  • Our girls’ teams play in the Bolton & Bury Girls Football League.

Matches are played on Sundays as part of the regular league programme.

    The league provides:

    • age-appropriate competition

    • a structured, well-run environment

    • fixtures that support player development rather than just results

Playing on Sundays helps keep football consistent and predictable for families, while giving players a competitive but supportive matchday experience.

League details, kick-off times, and seasonal formats are shared with parents by coaches once players are registered and part of a squad.

  • The monthly subs for girls’ teams are:

    • £25 per month for your first child

    • £10 per month for a second child

    • £5 per month per child if you have more than two children playing at the club

    Subs help cover:

    • pitch and facility hire

    • equipment

    • league and affiliation costs

    • safe, organised, properly coached sessions

There are no hidden fees and no surprise add-ons. Any optional costs, such as kit or tournaments, are communicated clearly in advance.
